FAN is working with its network members to connect parents and caregivers to the resources and supports during this COVID pandemic. Using a Rossland-based company called Thoughtexchange, FAN asked parents and caregivers to share thoughts on how best to support their families during the COVID pandemic. There were over 130 responses to this opportunity to engage! Click on the link below to access the summary report of that Thoughtexchange:

Based on what parents and caregivers had to share, FAN is working with local service providers to help roll out resources and parenting workshops, as well as to continue to provide updated information to existing local resources.  Keep watching this site and the FAN Facebook page for notice of when these will be available.  We can share that in early May, in partnership with the Trail and Castlegar CCRR we will be offering an online workshop with Sean Larsen on “Parenting in a Pandemic” – the first workshop in what we hope will be a series of workshops to support you and your family during this challenging time, based on the expressed needs that you have provided.

You told us, and we’re listening!

Parents, we think you are doing a fantastic job.  Keep up the great work and watch for more supports in the days and weeks ahead.
