Join Holly from Kootenay Family Place and Jeannine Stefani Public Health Nurse this Friday, August 18th at the Family Zone area of the Trail Market on the Esplanade. In addition to the fun toys and information always available at the Family Zone, parents with children six and under can access Ages and Stages questionnaires to get a snapshot of their child’s development. On hand are experienced early childhood development professionals to discuss questions you may have about your child’s development, including topics like walking, talking, sleeping, nutrition and behavior.

The Ages and Stages questionnaire is an interactive, parent-involved process that gives parents the opportunity to gain a snapshot of their child’s development at the age they are at, noting their areas of strength and any areas where a little extra help may be beneficial. This is the same tool that is used when the Family Action Network offers Ages and Stages days at Kiro and at Check Early, Check Often Centres around the region. Enjoy another sunny day at the Trail Market and stop by the Family Zone for a check up on your child’s development.

If you are unable to make it to the Family Zone this week in Trail, please note the next Ages and Stages clinic will take place Tuesday, October 3rd at Kiro. For more information, please contact Christy from the Family Action Network at 1-855-368-3707.
